Stussy
A curated eyewear line blending urban streetwear and premium craftsmanship

problem
Stüssy needed eyewear that felt authentic to their legacy yet ready for modern street culture. Sun Buddies brought premium craftsmanship but lacked a visual language aligned with Stüssy’s bold identity. The collaboration risked feeling mismatched without a cohesive creative narrative and purposeful visuals.
solution
I led art direction—curating a visual narrative that merged Stüssy’s iconic aesthetic with Sun Buddies’ design expertise. I developed colourways, patterns and co‑branded elements to honour both brands’ signatures. I styled photography, set locations and produced copy to bring an urban-chic story to life.
I framed Stüssy x Sun Buddies as more than a sunglasses line—I crafted it into a fashion dialogue between streetwear and luxury eyewear. I shaped every visual detail to reflect the synergy of both brands.

I wanted the visuals to reflect both the physicality of the product and the culture behind it. I used a mixed media process—cutting up printed photographs, scanning them back in, and layering textures to give the artwork a raw, tactile feel. Each piece was intentionally imperfect.
The final layouts embraced minimalism. I used large amounts of white space to let the sunglasses speak for themselves. Every spread was tightly composed, with only essential details—creating a sense of calm and focus that contrasted with the bold energy of the products.
This balance between cut-and-paste roughness and structured restraint defined the visual tone. It gave the campaign a handcrafted edge while staying clean and editorial.
